Here is how to add a chatbot to your Webflow site in five minutes. No integrations, no Zapier, no third-party app dashboards.
Why this is easier than you think
Webflow has a built-in custom code feature that makes adding any third-party script straightforward. You do not need to export your site, edit raw files, or set up an integration through Make or Zapier.
The chatbot is a single script tag:

How to add it (step by step)
Site-wide (every page)
- In your Webflow dashboard, open your project
- Go to Project Settings (the gear icon)
- Click the Custom Code tab
- In the Footer Code section, paste the script tag:

- Publish your site
Important: Custom code in Webflow only appears on the published site, not in the Designer preview. After publishing, visit your live site to confirm the chatbot is working.
Specific pages only
If you only want the chatbot on certain pages:
- Open the page in the Webflow Designer
- Click the gear icon next to the page name (Page Settings)
- Scroll to Custom Code
- Paste the script tag in the Before
</body>tag section - Save and publish
Which Webflow plans support Custom Code?
Custom code is available on all paid site plans:
- Starter (free): No custom code support.
- Basic, CMS, Business, and Enterprise site plans: Full custom code support.
If you are hosting a live site on Webflow, you almost certainly have a paid plan, so this works out of the box.
What happens after you publish

"Will it affect my site's performance or design?"
No and no.
Performance: The script loads asynchronously. Your page content, images, and interactions load first. The chatbot loads in the background. The entire widget is under 50KB gzipped, smaller than most hero images.
Design: The chatbot runs in its own isolated iframe. It does not inject any CSS into your page, cannot interfere with your Webflow classes, and will not break your interactions or animations. Your carefully crafted design stays exactly as you built it.
Common questions
Does it show up in the Webflow Designer? No. Custom code only renders on the published site. You will not see the chatbot while editing in the Designer.
Does it work with Webflow CMS collections? Yes. If you add the script site-wide via Project Settings, it appears on all pages including CMS collection pages.
Does it work with Webflow Ecommerce? Yes. The chatbot runs independently of Webflow's e-commerce functionality. Cart, checkout, and product pages all work as normal.
